Uptown released their 1st album in late 1996. Having a hiphop-R&B style of music. Consisting of 4 members. Chris Jung (the vocal), Tasha Reid (the wicked rapper), Steve Kim (the rugged rapper) and Carlos Galvan (the hyper rapper). Soon afterwards Uptown released their 2nd album. Which is consitered by many as the BEST album they ever released. By now Uptown style of music appealed to many.In late 1998 Uptown released their 3rd album, dubbed "Chapter 3 in History". Chris Jung decided to leave Uptown and only help out with the music. uptown now consisted of Tasha (baby tash), Carlos (speedy bullets), Steve (stevie gunz) and there new vocal Park Tam Hee. They changed their hiphop/r&b style to FULL FLEDGED HIP HOP MUSIC. With apperances by fellow hiphoppers like Drunen Tiger, Thanos, Jed and Danny (called UPTOWN FAMILY). Uptown after their 3rd album kinda faded away. Tasha join up with another rapper named annie and made a duo called Tashannie, and uptown made an apperance in the 1999 dae han Min Guk. They released an remix/dance album but Fans wanted something better. In Late 1999 uptown made a ComeBack with their 4th album dubbed "verbal medication". Carlos and Steve stayed and 2 new members took the place for Park Tam Hee and Tasha. Kimbohra became the new vocal and Young John kim (from s#arp) became the new rapper. Tashannie helped out with the 4th album along side with Jini and Vicky from Diva, Kim Jin Pyo and Chris Jung adding to the list of Uptown Family members.
